High-Level Instruction

At 10th Planet Palmdale, we believe every student deserves the highest quality instruction regardless of age. That’s why the same experienced coaches who lead our adult classes also work hands-on with our kids. This ensures that our youth program benefits from the same technical depth, attention to detail, and training philosophy that makes our adult program so effective. All youth classes run for 1 hour, providing the perfect balance of focus and engagement. Membership is offered at one simple monthly price with no long-term contract, giving families the flexibility to take a break when life gets busy. Contact us to get started!

Teens Class (Ages 11–14)

Our Teens Class is built to challenge and develop students ages 11–14 with a mix of technical instruction, live training, and age-appropriate competition prep. Classes run for 1 hour and are structured to build confidence, discipline, and athleticism in a fun and supportive environment.

Kids Classes (Ages 7+)

Classes are 1 hour in length and structured to keep students active and engaged.

Rolling Tots (Ages 4–6)

Students receive unlimited access to all classes for ages 4–6. Each session is 45 minutes long and designed to introduce young students to the fundamentals in a fun, supportive environment.

  • Jimmy Morgan, 10th Planet Palmdale instructor

    Jimmy Morgan

    Black BeltHead Instructor

    Jimmy Morgan is a 10th Planet black belt under Jared Carlsten. He started his Jiu Jitsu journey in 2012 at 10th Planet Burbank and earned his black belt after six years of dedicated training. Throughout his entire Jiu Jitsu career, Jimmy has proudly represented the 10th Planet system and has been an instructor at 10th Planet Burbank since 2016. In addition to teaching, Jimmy has competed at a high level, participating in multiple ADCC and EBI Trials. Originally inspired by his passion for the UFC, Jimmy quickly discovered a deep appreciation for the art of submission grappling. His enthusiasm for the sport drives him to share his knowledge with anyone eager to learn. In his classes, Jimmy emphasizes securing dominant positions and executing strategic submission attempts. His approachable and encouraging teaching style makes his instruction accessible to practitioners of all levels.

    Danny Forero

    Purple BeltKids Instructor

    Danny began his jiu jitsu journey in the gi and has dedicated himself to consistent training for the past 7 years. After earning his purple belt in 2021, he discovered a passion for no gi that transformed his approach to the sport. By mid-2022, Danny made 10th Planet Palmdale his home, where he quickly became part of a community he now considers family. As an instructor, he has the privilege of coaching while striving to be a positive influence on his students. With a particular fondness for arm bars and guard passing, his jiu jitsu practice remains firmly rooted in fundamental techniques.

    Anabelle Carroll

    Blue BeltKids Instructor

    Anabelle Carroll has been training in jiu jitsu for four years and has held a blue belt for approximately three years. She competes regularly, participating in tournaments three to four times a year. Some of her favorite techniques include the gogo clinch from the rubber guard, an arm bar from the rear triangle, and various high elbow guillotine variations. In addition to her competitive pursuits, Anabelle has been teaching kids' classes for about a year, sharing her expertise and passion for the art.
